Paralegal Nawel El-Hamdi

I graduated Edgewood College with a double bachelors in Criminal Justice and Sociology. I previously interned with the Wisconsin Department of Justice, in the Criminal Appeals Unit then later became a Paralegal in the Public Protection Unit and Criminal Litigation Unit.

One of the many social issues I am passionate about is the criminal justice system. With my education and experience, I was given a unique perspective on how sociology applies to the criminal justice system, specifically how different social inequalities can affect your right of due process. I hold a certificate in Race and Ethnic Studies, and I am committed to be an advocate. For the past 1 ½ years, I have been a mentor to juveniles with the goal to reduce recidivism.

In my free time, I love traveling, even if it is visiting a new city for the weekend. I also enjoy writing and playing tennis.
